On the right track for NDIS supports and services

A headshot of two children smiling.

We came across this brilliant set of resources the other day and thought they’d benefit you and your clients too!

The Right Track toolkit and webinar series was created by South Australia’s City of Playford, in partnership with the City of Salisbury, and funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) program.

It includes two toolkits – one for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and the other for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people – to help community members connect with the NDIS, and disability and mainstream services. There are 10 webinars in the accompanying series, with topics suitable for providers and clients.

Community engagement and consultation with local Aboriginal and CALD communities informed the design and development of the resources, which address specific barriers to accessing the NDIS.

We love everything included in the toolkit, but the webinars are extra special. They cover a range of topics, including:

  • Welcome to Country
  • Introduction
  • Disability – Roles of people and places
  • Diversity
  • The NDIS and how it works
  • Getting started on the NDIS journey
  • Goals and understanding the plan
  • Managing your client’s plan
  • An NDIS story
  • Activating a plan

The great news is, everything involved with The Right Track is free of charge. Check it out!
